Love takes time. It moves very slowly.Just like a turtle. You got to be patient with it. You can't rush a turtle to walk faster. You can't rush love to happen faster either.
Sometimes it takes years. Like my friend Tanaz. She knew in her heart she will end up be her boyfriend of 4 years, but things were taking longer than she wanted it to happen. Every time I would see her I would ask; When is the wedding? and she would look at me with her big beautiful eyes, not sure Haleh joon. I don't know if it's going to happen. He lives in Iran and I live here. How is that possible? How could we make it? He doesn't want to move here and I don't' want to move back to Iran full time. How can we make this happen? I don't think he loves me. Maybe I don't love him either. I don' know why it's taking so long. 
I was moved by her story and I started painting after she left and this beautiful turtle came about for her. I called her when I finished this painting and told her to just wait. Things are slow but it will happen I promise. They got married 3 years later in Iran after she moves there. I couldn't make it to the wedding and wasn't able to take the painting for them. I hope to be able to do that soon.
